Action of IL-1

A
  • costimulator of T cell and B cell proliferation
  • increases expression of adhesion molecules on the endothelium. - Stimulates release of vasoactive factors such as PAF, nitric oxide and prostacyclin
    => causes vasodilation and increases vascular permeability.
