what is the peterson block?

bw angle of zygomatic arch and the orbit

name 6 risks of FA anaesthesia

1. bloat
2. active regurg (stim from ETT)
3. passive regurg (from LOS relaxation)
4. aspiration
5. hypovent - IPPV
6. hypotension - not like horses, milder

what is recommended to reduce the above risks?

dont feed concentrates - reduces gas production
use anticholinergics to reduce saliva production and keep head upwards
leave ETT in until chewing and swallowing

ulcers in the 3rd compartment of stomach

3 branches - R and L and eparterial bronchus too
