What is anemia
A blood disorder in which the blood has a reduced ability to carry oxygen.
What is diabetes
A condition that happens when your blood sugar is too high
What is insulin
A hormone produced by the pancreas that regulates blood sugar levels by helping glucose enter cells for energy
What is type 1 diabetes
The pancreas does not make insulin, because the body’s immune system attacks the islet cells in the pancreas.
What is type 2 diabetes
The pancreas makes less insulin than used to, and your body becomes resistant to insulin.

The body cannot use glucose for energy it starts burning fat and muscle for energy
