Q

What is the process of sperm production

A
  1. Testes:
Sperm are produced in the seminiferous tubules within the testes.
  2. Epididymis:
Sperm move from the testes into the epididymis, where they mature and are stored.
  3. Vas Deferens:
From the epididymis, sperm travel through the vas deferens, a muscular tube that transports them towards the urethra.
  4. Ejaculatory Duct:
The vas deferens joins with the seminal vesicle to form the ejaculatory duct, which passes through the prostate gland.
  5. Urethra:
The ejaculatory duct empties into the urethra, the final passageway for semen release.

Q

Days 15-28

A

After ovulation, the ruptured follicle forms the corpus luteum, which produces hormones that prepare the uterus for implantation if the egg is fertilized. If fertilization does not occur, the corpus luteum shrinks, and the uterine lining sheds during the next menses[Luteal Phase]
