- shake solution if cloudy
- let warm to room temp
- <3 yrs pull pinna down and back
- > 3yrs pull pinna up and back
- apply pressure to tragus

DROPS
- pull down bottom eye lid to expose conjunctival sac
- if the med has systemic effects apply gentil pressure to nasal lacrimal duct
OINTMENT
- need placement along lower eyelid
- work from inner to outer eye
- once admitted close eye look around
