What is blood doping?
A process to increase the volume of blood and therefore allows more oxygen to be transported to working muscles: 1) Blood is removed from the competitor and frozen weeks before competition 2) Body naturally synthesises new blood cells to replace those lost 3) Original blood is injected back into the body - 1 week before competition
