Define ‘Social Groups’
2 or more individuals who interact with eachother, share similar characteristics, and have a collective sense of unity

The different ways individuals or groups interact with eachtoehr and participate in sport

A widely held fixed and oversimplified image or idea of a particular type of person/thing
What is a ‘Barrier of Participation’ ?
Any factor that prevents or makes it difficult for individuals or groups to engage in an activity

A community made up of people who share a common cultural background
Define ‘Socio-economic Group’
A group’s place within society; depends on a number of factors, including occupation, education, income, wealth, and where they live
What is ‘Post-school Dropout’ ?
The reduction in participation levels in young adults after they leave full time education
Define disabilty
Disability is an impairment that may be intellectual, mental, physical etc
Define integration
The action or process of integrating - involving full participation
What are adapted sports?
Sports for individuals with disabilities - often modified
Define discrimination
The unjust or prejudice treatment towards different social groups
Define prejudice
A preconcived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experiences
