What happens with birth rate, death rate, and population growth rate in each stage of the demographic transition?
Stage 1: The birthrate is high, The death rate is also high, and the population growth rate is stable and has a slow increase.
Stage 2: Birthrate is high, death rate is falling rapidly, and population growth is increasing rapidly.
Stage 3: Birthrate is falling, the death rate is falling but more slowly, and the population growths increase slows down.
Stage 4: Birthrate is low, death rate is low, and the population growth is falling and becoming stable.
Stage 5: Birthrate is yet to be seen, death rate is low and the population growth is little change.
What’s the difference in developing and developed countries when it comes to human population growth?
According to a graph 90% of births are from developing countries. So developing countries generally have a higher population growth compared to already developed countries.
How can an age structure diagram can be used to predict population growth?
An age structure diagram can be used to visualize the proportion of individuals in different age groups and genders within a population. This allows us to see if the population is in their reproductive years.

Developed countries typically use more natural resources per Capita compared to developing countries. As developing countries might rely on more raw resources like agriculture.
