  • Coccyx
  • Superior extent is pelvic diaphragm
  • Lateral walls are obturator internus and ischiopubic rami

  • Posterior to a line between the ischial tuberosities
  • Contains the following:
    • anus
    • anorectal flexure
    • anorectal “sling” of puborectalis

  • Contains fat and pudendal canal (in obturator internus fascia)
