  • Experience the symptoms 75%-100% of the time
  • Minimum duration of approximately 6 months
  • Must cause significant distress
  • Not better explained by “nonsexual mental disorder, a consequence of severe relationship distress (e.g., partner violence) or other significant stressors”
  • “lifelong v. acquired” and “generalized v. situational”
  • Severity scale: mild, moderate or severe
