A
Anti-anxiety, sedative/hypnotic and anti convulsant

INDICATIONS?
A
Seizures, status epilepticus, premedication before cardioversion, muscle tremors and acute anxiety attack

CONTRAINDICATIONS?
A
Shock, coma, depressed vitals signs and neonates

SIDE EFFECTS?
A
Hypotension, tachycardia, edema and cardiovascular collapse

ACTION?
A
Benzo sedative & skeletal muscle relaxant that reduces tremors, induces amnesia and reduces the recurrence of seizures. It relaxes muscle spasms in orthopedic injuries & produces amnesia for painful procedures

5 to 10 mg IV/IO/IM
