Initiate intubation and to maintain paralysis

A
Can’t control airway, neuromuscular disease such as myasthenia gravis & hypersensitivity to bromides & hepatic failure

SIDE EFFECTS?
A
Tachycardia and precaution with known heart disease

ACTION?
A
Nondepolarizing neuromuscular blocking agent, competes with acetylcholine for cholinergic receptor sites on the post junction neuromuscular membranes. Skeletal muscle paralysis

ADULT? PEDI?
A
1 mg/kg IV/IO, repeat with 1 mg/kg every 30 to 40 minutes as needed. Watch for patient movement
