Q

How do NSAIDs work?

A

Inhibit COX enzymes which usually cause prostaglandin release (-> inflammation, fever)
2 forms:
-Non-selective (inhibit production of all prostaglandins)
-Newer, more selective inhibitors which only target inflammation-causing COX-2 prostaglandins
