Infiltration: sarcoidosis

Congenital
Metabolic: reduced K, increased Calcium
Drugs: Lithium, vaptans, demecleocycline
Post-obstructive uropathy

Investigations

Bloods: U+E, Calcium, Glucose

Urine and plasma osmolality

Can exclude DI if

U:P osm >2

Diagnostic test

Water deprivation test with desmopressin trial

Differential

DM
Diuretics or Lithium
Prmary polydypsia

Treatment for cranial

find cause: MRI brain
Desmopressin PO

Nephrogenic treatment

Treat cause
