Q

what are the 3 main internal structures of glomerulus filtration:

A
  1. Fenestrated endothelium: has pores endothelium with pores so BP forces
water, electrolytes, and waste products, to pass to glomerular capsule and into renal tubules for further reabsorption
  2. Slit diaphragm and basement membrane stop large molecules like proteins and blood cells from entering (podocyte foot processes)

Q

what is In situ immune complex in glomerlular nephritis?

A
  • antigens are trapped in the glomerulus of kidney and get targeted by antibodies
  • forms antigen-anitbody complexes
  • deposition of it=inflammation
