*Anthrax is a zoonotic infection caused by Bacillus anthracis, a gram-positive, spore-forming bacterium. It presents in three main clinical forms (plus a rare fourth), depending on the route of entry.

Clinical forms

A

1-Cutaneous Anthrax (Most common)
Treatment:

1-Uncomplicated: CD

Ciprofloxacin 500 mg PO twice daily orDoxycycline 100 mg PO twice daily
Duration: 7–10 days (60 days if bioterrorism suspected)
2-Severe/systemic or facial involvement:
IV ciprofloxacin plus one or two additional antibiotics (e.g., clindamycin or rifampin)

2-Inhalation Anthrax (Most lethal)
Treatment
*IV Ciprofloxacin +( iv clindamycine or linozolid or meronem)
*Icu admission.
Add antitoxin (raxibacumab or anthrax immune globulin) for toxin neutralization.
