Clinical and laboratory criteria for diagnosis
FRDH +3
1. Fever:
Temperature ≥ 38.9°C (102°F)
2. Rash:
Diffuse macular erythroderma (sunburn-like rash)
3. Desquamation تقشير الجلد
1–2 weeks after onset, especially on palms and soles
4. Hypotension:
Systolic BP ≤ 90 mmHg for adults
Or orthostatic syncope, dizziness in children
5. Involvement of at least 3 of the following organ systems:
*GI: Vomiting or diarrhea at illness onset
*Muscular: Severe myalgia or elevated CPK
*Mucous membranes: Vaginal, oropharyngeal, conjunctival hyperemia
*Renal: BUN or creatinine ≥ 2x upper limit of normal or pyuria
*Liver: Elevated AST, ALT, or total bilirubin
*Hematologic: Platelets < 100,000/mm³
*CNS: Disorientation or alterations in consciousness (without focal neuro signs)
