Was bedeuten die Wörter?

Hauptwohnung
Nebenwohnung:
alleinige Wohnung

Details in the registration form

You want to register at the citizens’ office.
To do this, you have to fill out a form.
You have to choose one of the three options.
What is the difference?
What do the words mean?

Main residence
Secondary apartment:
sole apartment

Note: For more detailed information, you can search online using the registration form at the registration authority!

** Main residence is the resident’s predominantly used residence (Section 22 BMG). Secondary dwelling is every further dwelling of the resident in Germany.
The person required to register must inform the registration authority which other apartments they have in Germany and which apartment is their main residence (Section 21 BMG).

** Second apartment is every additional apartment of the resident.
One person can therefore have a main apartment and several secondary apartments.
If you change your main residence, you must inform the competent registration authority.

** If you only move into one apartment in Germany, this apartment is your “sole apartment”. It is irrelevant whether you live alone in this apartment or live with other people. If you have several apartments in Germany, the one that is mainly used is the main one.

Q

In deinem Heimatland

A

In your home country

How does a visit to the citizens’ office in your home country work?

**
Italy is the land of bureaucracy so getting a certificate is usually not a pleasure. But I can’t say it always is. I had a couple of exceptions.

The cliché for Switzerland was also confirmed by my experience.
Very efficient but expensive.
