Q

Leukamoid Reaction

A

Is an increased WBC count with a physiological response to stress or infection. This can mimic leukemia. This can be either lymphoid or myeloid.

However, some differences are that it will be orderly, have normal levels of basophils and eosinophils, not have blasts, always have thrombocytosis, usually have no splenomegaly, and not have Ph Chromosome.
