πηγαίνω rather than πάω is used when talking about habit rather than a given situation. The use of πάω in the second part of the sentence seems indicate a specific situation.
In other words, the speaker seems to be saying: ‘I like going to the cinema, but on this occasion, I’d rather go to a concert.
