Chancroid pathogenesis
A
- caused by Haemophilus Ducreyi, a gram-negative
bacterium.

Chancroid clinical manifestations
A
- Chancroid is one of two STDs which present with a painful
ulcer. - A pustule, usually on the vulva, becomes a painful ulcer
within 72 hours, with a typically “ragged edge.

Chancroid diagnosis :
A
A positive culture confirms the diagnosis

Chancroid Management:
A
Single oral dose of azithromycin,or single IM dose of ceftriaxone,
or oral erythromycin base for seven days
