Tvaṃ mittehi saddhiṃ rathena āpaṇamhā bhaṇḍāni āharasi.
With friends you bring goods from the shop in the vehicle.
Ahaṃ udakamhā padumāni āharitvā vāṇijassa dadāmi.
Having brought lotuses from the water, I give them to the merchant.
Tumhe samaṇānaṃ dātuṃ cīvarāni pariyesatha.

Mayaṃ manussalokamhā cavitvā sagge uppajjituṃ ākaṅkhāma.
Departing from the human world, we wish to be born in heaven.
Tumhe araññe vasante mige sarehi vijjhituṃ icchatha.
You (pl.) wish to shoot with arrows deer living in the forest.
Mayaṃ uyyāne carantā sunakhehi saddhiṃ kīḷante dārake passāma.
Walking in the park, we see children playing with dogs.
Tvaṃ rukkhamūle nisīditvā ācariyassa dātuṃ vatthaṃ sibbasi.

Pāsādaṃ upasaṅamantaṃ samaṇaṃ disvā bhūpālassa cittaṃ pasīdati.
The king is delighted (the king’s mind is pleased) seeing the monk approaching the palace.
Mayaṃ araññaṃ pavisitvā ajānaṃ paṇṇāni saṃharāma.
Having entered the forest, we collect leaves for the goats.
