What is social disorganisation?

lack of community cohesion and stability


what is cultural transmission?

the distinctive culture and values of those living in zone two are passed down through generations and waves of immigrants


what is differential association?

the idea that people are more likely to commit crime is they see people benefit from it rather than if they see people getting caught


What is tipping?

When an estate is full of anti-social families (problem families) it tips and becomes known as a 'problem estate'
