61.57 instrument recency qualifications.

A

– 6 months, 6 approaches, a holding, tracking and intercepting using navigational equipment.

– 6 months not meeting these requirements requires a safety pilot/CFI II. (Safety pilot must hold prvt or instrument in IMC)

– 6 MONTHS BEYOND THE FIRST 6 MONTHS REQUIRES IPC WITH CFI II OR DPE.

An approved flight simulator can be used to become current.

– Descend no less than 100 AGL when approach lights are visible.
