Story 15 : في مدين :

Question 1

وصل موسى الى مدين لا يعرف احدا و لا يعرفه احدا.

Answer 1

Musa (a.s.) reached Madyan. He knew noone and nobody knew him.

Question 2

فمن يأوي اليه في الليل؟ و اين يبيت؟

Answer 2

Who will give refuge to him in within the night? And where will he spend the night?

Question 3

تحيّر موسى و لكنه ايقن انّ الله لا يضيعه؟

Answer 3

Musa (a.s) was worried but he was certain that Allah (s.w.t) will not waste him.

Question 4

و كان هنالك بئر يسقي عليها الناس غنمهم و ماشيتهم

Answer 4

And over here there was a well, people would make their sheep and their livestock drink it.

Question 5

و وجد امراتين تذودان غنمهما و تنتظران ان يسقي الناس فتسقيا

Answer 5

He found tow girls holding back their sheep and waiting that people give the water so taht both of them could give the water.

Question 6

راى موسى ذلك وفي قلبه حنان الكريم و شفقة الأدب الرحيم.

Answer 6

Musa (a.s) saw that in the state that his heart had sincere love and the compassion of a merciful father.

Question 7

فقال: لماذا لا تسقيان؟

Answer 7

He said: ‘Why do you two not give the water?’

Question 8

قالتا: لا يمكن لنا ان نسقي غنمنا حتى يسقي الناس، للأنهم اقوياء و نحن ضعفاء و للأنهم رجال و نحن اناث.

Answer 8

Both of the said: ‘It is not possible for us to give water to our sheep whilst the people are giving water. Because they are people of authority and we are weak. And because they are men and we are women.’

Question 9

و كأنما عرفتنا انّ موسى سيسألهما: فلماذا لا يسقي احد من رجال بيتكن؟

Answer 9

It was as if they had realised that Musa (a.s) was about to ask them. Then why does one of the men from your house not give the water?

Question 10

فسبقتنا و قالتا:وَأَبُونَا شَيْخٌ كَبِيرٌ ‎﴿٢٣﴾

Answer 10

The took the lead and said: Our father is a very old man.

Question 11

و هاج في موسى حنان الكريم و يقى لهما و ذهبتا

Answer 11

Sincere love burst out in within Musa (a.s) and he gave the water for them and both of them left.

Question 12

و اين يذهب موسى الآن؟!

Answer 12

And where would Musa (a.s) go now?

Question 13

و الى اين يأوي في الليل و اين يبيت؟! انه لا يعرف احدا و لا يعرفه احد!

Answer 13

And where will he take refuge in within the night and where will he spend the night? Surely he knew noone and nobody knew him

Question 14

ثُمَّ تَوَلَّىٰ إِلَى الظِّلِّ فَقَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزَلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ ‎﴿٢٤﴾

Answer 14

Then he turned towards the shade and said: Oh my Lord, surely I am in need of whatever You send towards me from good’.
