Q

A

Perhaps Allah (s.w.t) has driven towards me this youngster so that he may be a son in law and a helper to me.

Q

A

So he said with respect and compassion and wisdom: ‘I wish to get you married to one of these two daughters of mine upon the condition that you work for me 8 years’.

17
Q

A

And this will be your dower. As for these 8 years, no running from it.

18
Q

A

If you complete 10 years, then it is from yourself. I do not wish to make it difficult for you. Very soon, you will find me, if Allah (s.w.t) wishes, to be from amongst the pious.

19
Q

A

The father was fearful that the youngster would take his daughter and he would be left alone.

20
Q

A

And the father thought that he should ut the youngster on trial until he is content with him and he will say goodbye to him.

21
Q

A

Musa (a.s.) agreed to these terms, trusting that it was from Allah (s.w.t) and that Allah (s.w.r) would bless him in it.

22
Q

A

Allah (s.w.t) had led him to Madyan and brought him to the old man and had put affection and love in within his heart.

23
Q

A

Then he said: This is between me and between you.

24
Q

A

But Moses wanted - with his wisdom and intellect - to preserve for him the right of choice, perhaps that he might get tired

25
Whichever of the two terms I fulfil it shall be no injustice on my part. Allah (s.w.t) is the guardian of what we say.
