A

After awhile, Potiphar’s wife fell in love with Joseph. But Joseph refused to commit sin with her, for he had great respect for Potiphar and for God’s laws. Angry, she screamed and pretended that Joseph had tried to attack her. So Potiphar became furious and threw him in jail.

Why did the pharaoh summon Joseph?

A

Because he had heard that Joseph could interpret dreams. And he had dream that no one could interpret.

A
  1. 7 cows, fat and sleek came out of the Nile. Behind came 7 other cows, ugly and scrawny. They ate the fat cows.
  2. He saw 7 ears of grain, fat and healthy, growing on one stalk. Behind them were 7 ears of grain, shrivel, then and blasted by the east wind. These ears swallowed up the healthy ears of grain.

What did Joseph said about the pharaoh’s dreams?

A

That God had revealed to the pharaoh what he was going to do. In Egypt, there would be 7 years of good crops followed by 7 years of famine.

What did Joseph advise the pharaoh to do?

A

To collect and store food during the good years so that people would have food to eat during the famine.

What was the pharaoh’s response to this advise?

A

The pharaoh made Joseph governor over all Egypt. So for the next 7 years, he collected and stored the abundant crops then when the famine came he opened the storehouses to the people

What was the good example that Joseph showed us?

A

How the goods of the earth are meant to be shared by all. God wants his creation to be enjoyed by all.
