Uses every day, common people to sell a product or idea
Plain Folks
Makes you feel strongly for in a certain way in order to convince you to do something; uses positive (joy and happiness) or negative (anger and fear) emotions to sway Readers
Emotional appeal
Uses arguments based on facts or sound reasons to sway readers
Appeal to logic
Uses sense of right or wrong to sway readers
Appeal to ethics
Uses mention of important persons or experts opinions on the topic to swing readers
Appeal to authority
Convinces you that only the best and wealthiest people use certain products
Snob appeal and flattery
If the product sounds better than it is; you just might buy it
