During the Ice Age (40,000 - 10,000 years ago), hunters from Asia followed large animals across land bridge to the Americas.
After Ice Age about 10,000 year ago, what happened to large animals like the mammoths?
They became extinct so hunters had to start hunting smaller animals.

Growing their own food.

Why do some scholars think people migrated from Asia to North America during the Ice Age?
During the Ice Age, the Bering Strait became shallower forming a land bridge allowing hunters to follow the large animals.
How did the first Americans live during the Ice Age?
In small groups.
Why did hunters have to find new ways to get food when the Earth’s climate began to get warmer?
The large animals died out, or became extinct, or perhaps the hunters killed them off.
How do you think the early people discovered how to grow food?
They accidentally spilled seeds and those seeds began to grow.
