What is Brain HQ and who recommends it?
An online brain training app recommended by Dr Dale Bredesen to improve cognitive function.
What imaging methods help diagnose dementia?
CT, MRI, and PET scans help exclude other conditions and assess brain atrophy.
What are Dr Bredesen’s three categories of Alzheimer’s?
Hot (inflammatory), cold (atrophic), and toxic (cortical due to environmental exposure).
What is the role of microglia in Alzheimer’s?
They can be pro-inflammatory (M1) or anti-inflammatory (M2), with M1 promoting neurodegeneration.
How does social connection affect Alzheimer’s risk?
It promotes oxytocin and vagus nerve activity, reducing brain inflammation.
