A bishop who was known as a great speaker. Found allegorical and mystical meanings in the biblical texts.

Period of denying the possibility of miracles. And saying that inspiration could not be real

The reaction to the attacks on the enlightenment. A.A Hodge Chalres Hodge and B.B Warfield were among leaders who reacted saying that every word in the bible somehow came from God. (the bible is correct and we must trust it)
