  2. Lay line and position apparatus as directed.
  3. Perform in-cab operations, chock wheels.
  4. Make 5” supply connections.
  5. Hand down monitor.
  6. Make 2 1/2” connections.
  7. Supply water to the monitor.

  2. Make hydrant connection.
  3. Open hydrant on command.
  4. Follow supply line, remove large kinks.
  5. Advance 2 1/2” to monitor.
  6. Advance second 2 1/2” to monitor (optional)

A
  • Safety Pin, goes up without pulling it but needs to be pulled to put ground monitor down. (Safety Purposes)
  • When just starting to flow water from the ground monitor you can put the nozzle up straight into the air, will reduce the pushback pressure.
  • When putting the ground monitor back into the compartment it is best to put it in handle first.
  • Don’t forget to secure the monitor by pounding it into the ground before getting water.
  • Use chain and two straps to secure 5” Supply to the Ground Monitor.

  • Need at least 150’ of 5’ Supply Hose
  • 100 Ft from pumper to the ground monitor, big wide square around the monitor. (Needs to be at least ten feet away from monitor in all directions except for right in front of the monitor. )
