- Advance 1 3/4” hose line (off attack engine) to roof.

Kerf Cut: One cut that is straight. (Trench Ventilation)
Triangle Cut: A triangle cut is used for inspection.

Ventilating a Pitched Roof
- Cut #1 - Area farthest away from me (vertical cut)
- Cut # 2 - Horizontal (Cut across the top of the roof)
- Cut #3 - Horizontal (Cut across the bottom of the roof)
- Cut #4 - Area along the rail of the ladder (Vertical Cut)

-Truss is a group of smaller pieces put together with a gusset plate. Light weight and can be compromised easily.

Charged vs. Uncharged Hose Hoist

-Easy to lower hose, send the nozzle down first and then drop the rest of the hose.

Taking a chainsaw up the ladder
-Girth hitch around the handle and then clip the carabiner onto the other handle. Throw the strap over your shoulder and carry the chainsaw up.
