- SCBA Check Daily and After Each Use

- Hydro Tested Every 5 Years
- SCBA Cylinders - Check for damage when filling bottle.
- All SCBA users - fit tested annually
- Fill out SCBA check sheets each time it has been used + on daily checks.

Title: Carbon Monoxide Response Procedures
Residential
- Dispatch determines if they are showing signs of CO poisoning
- Code 2 or 3 based on dispatch
- Check Medical and then look for the source
- If we shut off gas we do it at the meter
- Test C02 outside then check it inside the house
- If it is 9 parts per million or more we have to shut off appliance and call natural gas.
- If it is over 35 parts per million then we have to wear our SCBAs.
Commercial
- Zero monitor in fresh air
- Take care of the people and then look for CO source
- 35 PPM threshold for SCBA
- 0 to 49PPM
- 50 to 199 PPM, Contact L&I and Code Enforcement
- 200 ppm or more, evacuate and notify L&I to respond.
