Auto Leveling Feature
- Shut it off prior to bedding the tower.
- If left on it may bed with the platform elevated or lowered from level with the apparatus. This could effectively add inches or feet to the overall height of the apparatus.
Bedding the ladder what should the hydraulic gauge read?

Short Jacking
- It only takes 1/8 from beam full extension to be considered short jacked.
- The green lights at the stabilizer control panel will not be on for whichever outrigger beam(s) that is short jacked.
Short Jacking
- If any one of the outriggers are short jacked you will not be able to rotate the aerial past center to that side of the apparatus.
- If a stabilizer is short jacked, to get any movement of the aerial from the controls you must hold the “Interlock Override” momentary switch open. (Under red protective latch at turntable)
Kubota Generator
- Kubota shares its fuel supply with the apparatus.
- Generator controls are located on the driver’s side in the top compartment just to the right of the pump panel. Breaker panel is in the same compartment.

-Preheat by depressing the “Preheat” rocker momentary switch for 30 seconds prior to starting the generator. Hold while starting until running.

- There is a generator access compartment located on the officer’s side, the silver compartment right behind the preconnect crosslay bed.
- There are a set of manual generator control switches located on the generator in case the remote start switches fail to work.
Emergency Power Unit
Consists of what?
- Electric motor and small hydraulic pump.
- When activated allows the operator to move the aerial or outriggers in the event of a main system failure.

Time limit?
-3 minutes
or
-can be used over a long period of time at a 7% duty cycle, which is approximately 21 seconds in every 5 minutes.

-Should be limited to those associated with wrap-up of the aerial.

How to use EPU?
- Disengage main hydraulic pump PTO
- Actuate EPU Switch to ON position and hold for duration of emergency system operation.
- Operate applicable controls and stow aerial and/or outriggers as necessary.
- Release EPU switch
