What is modelling in Social Learning Theory?
When a role model demonstrates behaviour, and the observer imitates it.
What is a role model in SLT?
Someone the observer admires or identifies with, whose behaviour they may copy.
What does modelling mean for the observer?
Observing and imitating the behaviour of a role model
What does modelling mean for the role model?
Performing a behaviour that can be observed and learned by others.
How does vicarious reinforcement affect modelling?
People are more likely to model behaviour if they see it being rewarded.
How did Bandura’s study support modelling?
Children copied aggressive models, especially same-sex models who were praised.
