What are some airway differences children have compared to adults?

Child has:
- smaller nose and mouth
- larger tongue for mouth size
- narrower trachea
- less developed cricoid cartilage
- more reliance on diaphragm to breath

What are some skeletal differences between adults and children?

Bones are softer and more pliable.
Ribs softer so do not protect thoracic cavity inners well.
Head is larger in proportion to body size compared to adults - more tbi's
