What is indicated for mild pain relief?

Paracetamol

What is indicated for moderate to severe pain?

Entonox
Methoxyflurane
Morphine
Fentanyl

What is indicated for severe pain?

Ketamine

If you have a burns patient what type of pain relief would you administer?

Ketamine

Can you just treat a patient with paracetamol and leave them at home?

Yes - provided they do not require immediate referral to a doctor.

Can you use Entonox and methoxyflurane together?

No - use one at a time.
It is okay to swap from one to the other if good indication to do so.

What is one of the metabolic products of Methoxyflurane and what can this do?

Flouride ions and these can cause renal impairment.

What are some side effects of morphine?

Itch
Nausea
Vomiting
