What is muscle?

Bundles of fibres organised in different ways according to the function of the muscle.

Approximately 700.

What are the three main types of muscle?

Striated, skeletal or voluntary muscle
Smooth or involuntary muscle
Cardiac muscle

What is the difference between Striated and Smooth muscle?

Striated muscle is under the control of will whereas smooth muscle is not controlled by will.
