युष्मत्कुलशत्रुः

A

युष्मत्कुलशत्रुः
युष्मत् SEEMS ODD SINCE THERE ARE ONLY TWO LION CUBS AND THE JACKAL CUB MUST BE REFERRING TO THEM. THE JACKAL CUB CANNOT BE REFERRING TO THE WHOLE FAMILY SINCE HE THINKS HE HIMSELF IS A LION CUB. SO IT REALLY WOULD HAVE TO BE DUAL.
BUT I AM NOT SURE WHAT THE COMPOSITIONAL FORM OF THE DUAL युवाम् युवाभ्याम् युवयोः (ENCL ACC DAT GEN वाम् ) WOULD BE. MAYBE THAT IS WHY THE PLURAL IS USED HERE INSTEAD.
ANOTHER FIX WOULD BE TO USE अस्मद् = “OUR family enemy” (SINCE, AGAIN, THE JACKAL CUB THINKS HE TOO IS A LION).
