قُبُلاً
Meaning: Face to face, directly, in front of.
Context: Even if all signs were shown to them, they would not believe unless Allah willed.
Verse:
وَلَوْ أَنَّنَا نَزَّلْنَا إِلَيْهِمُ الْمَلَائِكَةَ وَكَلَّمَهُمُ الْمَوْتَىٰ وَحَشَرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍ قُبُلًا مَّا كَانُوا لِيُؤْمِنُوا إِلَّا أَن يَشَاءَ اللَّهُ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ يَجْهَلُونَ
(Surah Al-An’am 6:111)
لِتَصغى
Meaning: And so that (they) incline
Context: This word appears in Surah Al-An’am (6:113), where Allah describes how the hearts of those who do not believe in the Hereafter are inclined toward deceptive speech.
Verse:
وَلِتَصْغَىٰٓ إِلَيْهِ أَفْـِٔدَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِٱلۡأٓخِرَةِ وَلِيَرۡضَوۡهُ وَلِيَقۡتَرِفُواْ مَا هُم مُّقۡتَرِفُونَ
(Surah Al-An’am 6:113)

Meaning: So that they may commit (sins). / Accumulate

Meaning: They lie, they guess, they speculate.

Verse:
وَإِن تُطِعْ أَكْثَرَ مَن فِي الْأَرْضِ يُضِلُّوكَ عَن سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ۚ إِن يَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَإِنْ هُمْ إِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ
(Surah Al-An’am 6:116)
لَيُوحون
Meaning: They inspire, they reveal.
Context: This word appears in Surah Al-An’am (6:121), where Allah warns against consuming what has not had His name mentioned upon it, highlighting that devils ليوحون to their allies to argue with believers about such matters.
Verse:
وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا مِمَّا لَمْ يُذْكَرِ اسْمُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ وَإِنَّهُ لَفِسْقٌ ۗ وَإِنَّ الشَّيَاطِينَ لَيُوحُونَ إِلَىٰ أَوْلِيَائِهِمْ لِيُجَادِلُوكُمْ ۖ وَإِنْ أَطَعْتُمُوهُمْ إِنَّكُمْ لَمُشْرِكُونَ
(Surah Al-An’am 6:121)
أكابِر
Meaning: Great ones, leaders, chiefs.

صَغَارٌ
Meaning: Humiliation, disgrace, subjugation.

(Surah Al-An’am 6:124)
يشرَح
Meaning: Expands, opens, relieves.
Context: This word appears in Surah Al-An’am (6:125), where Allah describes how He يشرح (expands) the chest of those He wills to guide, making their hearts open to Islam, while those who are led astray feel constriction and hardship.

ضَيِّقاً
Meaning: Tightness, constriction, hardship.

يَصَّعَّدُ
Meaning: Ascends, climbs, rises.

اسْتَمْتَعَ
Meaning: Enjoyment, pleasure, benefit.
Context: This word appears in Surah Al-An’am (6:128), where Allah mentions the mutual استمتاع (enjoyment) between jinn and humans, highlighting how they benefited from each other in worldly desires but will ultimately face consequences in the Hereafter.
Verse:
وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ قَدِ اسْتَكْثَرْتُمْ مِنَ الْإِنْسِ وَقَالَ أَوْلِيَاؤُهُمْ مِنَ الْإِنْسِ رَبَّنَا اسْتَمْتَعَ بَعْضُنَا بِبَعْضٍ وَبَلَغْنَا أَجَلَنَا الَّذِي أَجَّلْتَ لَنَا ۚ قَالَ النَّارُ مَثْوَاكُمْ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ
(Surah Al-An’am 6:128)
مَثْوَاكم
Meaning: Your abode, dwelling place.
Context: This word appears in Surah Al-An’am (6:128), where Allah declares to the wrongdoers that the Hellfire will be their مثواكم (abode), emphasizing their eternal punishment for their misdeeds.
Verse:
وَيَوْمَ يَحْشُرُهُمْ جَمِيعًا يَا مَعْشَرَ الْجِنِّ قَدِ اسْتَكْثَرْتُمْ مِنَ الْإِنْسِ وَقَالَ أَوْلِيَاؤُهُمْ مِنَ الْإِنْسِ رَبَّنَا اسْتَمْتَعَ بَعْضُنَا بِبَعْضٍ وَبَلَغْنَا أَجَلَنَا الَّذِي أَجَّلْتَ لَنَا ۚ قَالَ النَّارُ مَثْوَاكُمْ خَالِدِينَ فِيهَا إِلَّا مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ۗ إِنَّ رَبَّكَ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ
(Surah Al-An’am 6:128)
نُوَلِّي
Meaning: We turn, We appoint, We entrust.
Context: This word appears in Surah Al-An’am (6:129), where Allah states that He نولي (appoints) wrongdoers over one another as a consequence of their actions, showing that those who commit injustice will be made to associate with others like them.
Verse:
وَكَذَٰلِكَ نُوَلِّي بَعْضَ الظَّالِمِينَ بَعْضًا بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْسِبُونَ
(Surah Al-An’am 6:129)
ذَرَأَ

وَجَعَلُوا لِلَّهِ مِمَّا ذَرَأَ مِنَ الْحَرْثِ وَالْأَنْعَامِ نَصِيبًا فَقَالُوا هَٰذَا لِلَّهِ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَهَٰذَا لِشُرَكَائِنَا فَمَا كَانَ لِشُرَكَائِهِمْ فَلَا يَصِلُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَمَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ فَهُوَ يَصِلُ إِلَى شُرَكَائِهِمْ ۗ سَاءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ
(Surah Al-An’am 6:136)
بِزَعمِهِم
Meaning: In their claim, according to their assumption.

وَجَعَلُوا لِلَّهِ مِمَّا ذَرَأَ مِنَ الْحَرْثِ وَالْأَنْعَامِ نَصِيبًا فَقَالُوا هَٰذَا لِلَّهِ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَهَٰذَا لِشُرَكَائِنَا فَمَا كَانَ لِشُرَكَائِهِمْ فَلَا يَصِلُ إِلَى اللَّهِ وَمَا كَانَ لِلَّهِ فَهُوَ يَصِلُ إِلَى شُرَكَائِهِمْ ۗ سَاءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ
(Surah Al-An’am 6:136)
لِيُردُوهم
Meaning: To lead them astray, to misguide them (destroy)
Context: This word appears in Surah Al-An’am (6:137), where Allah describes how the false gods and devils ليردوهم (led them astray), deceiving the polytheists into sacrificing their children, demonstrating the extent of their misguidance.
Verse:

لِيَلْبِسوا
Meaning: To confuse, to obscure, to mix up.
Context: This word appears in Surah Al-An’am (6:137), where Allah describes how the false gods and devils ليلبسوا (confused) the polytheists regarding their religion, making them believe that killing their children was a righteous act.

حِجْرٌ
Meaning: Forbidden, sacred, restricted.

(Surah Al-An’am 6:138)
وَصْفَهم
Meaning: Their description, their attribution, their characterization.
Context: This word appears in Surah Al-An’am (6:139), where Allah rebukes the false claims of the polytheists and states that He will punish them for وَصْفَهُمْ (their false descriptions), emphasizing how they wrongly attributed laws and restrictions to Him without knowledge.

وَقَالُوا مَا فِي بُطُونِ هَٰذِهِ الْأَنْعَامِ خَالِصَةٌ لِذُكُورِنَا وَمُحَرَّمٌ عَلَىٰ أَزْوَاجِنَا ۖ وَإِنْ يَكُنْ مَيْتَةً فَهُمْ فِيهِ شُرَكَاءُ ۚ سَيَجْزِيهِمْ وَصْفَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُ حَكِيمٌ عَلِيمٌ
(Surah Al-An’am 6:139)
مَعْروشات
Meaning: Trellised, supported by structures.
Context: This word appears in Surah Al-An’am (6:141), where Allah describes different types of plants, including مَعْرُوشَاتٍ (trellised ones), highlighting His blessings in providing various forms of vegetation for human benefit.

الرُّمَّان
Meaning: Pomegranates.
