IT SHOULD BE AN INSTRUM SG. MASC./NEUT. ADJ. == ‘with a truthful one’ BUT THEN I CANNOT MAKE OUT THE SENSE IT WOULD HAVE

MAYBE THE IDEA IS ‘Whence would there be anything to do with an honest person for such a dishonest man as the king has now become?’ I.E. ‘For him (the king) with a truthful one (Rama), whence (any doings)?’ BUT I DON’T SEE HOW THE WORDS CAN ADD UP TO THAT.
