MY BEST GUESS IS THAT IT IS THE INSTR. SG. OF THE VERBAL ROOT √त्वर् ITSELF BY A KIND OF VEDIC IDIOM. THIS WOULD GIVE THE RIGHT MEANING - BUT I CANNOT FIND THIS IN THE DICTIONARIES
