त्रातारं नाधिगच्छन्तीम् (?)

A

त्रातारं नाधिगच्छन्तीम् (?)
YES, THIS IS RIGHT. SEE BELOW ON 5.2.56 -
त्रातारं नाधिगच्छन्ती
- MEANING ‘she, not finding (approaching) a savior’
IT SEEMS AN ODD WAY TO SAY IT. SANSKRIT HAS VERBS MEANING ‘to find’ (e.g. √vid) AND WITH A VERB MEANING ‘come, approach’ YOU WOULD EXPECT IT TO GO WITH ‘savior’. BUT NOT HERE.
SO YOU CAN DISREGARD YOUR PREVIOUS NOTES BELOW…

I THINK THIS MUST BE EMENDED TO
त्रातारं नाधिगच्छन्तम्
AND TAKEN IN APPOSITION TO RAMA AS INVOKED IN THE PRECEDING PADA: “her, calling upon HER SAVIOR WHO WAS NOT COMING, ‘Rama, Rama”
\
trātṛ त्रातृ a. 1 A guardian, defender, protector. -2 Protecting, defending.
