It was a boa constrictor swallowing a beast.
I copied the drawing for

Uma vez, quando eu tinha seis anos, vi uma imagem num livro sobre a Floresta chamado “Histórias Vividas”.
Era uma jibóia a engolir uma fera.

Copiei o desenho para vocês poderem ver como era.

The book explained: “The boa constrictors swallow (Plural)the entire prey, without chewing them.
After they themselves (2verbs)can’t manage to move and they sleep during six months- the time that the digestion takes.
O livro explicava: “As jibóias engolem as presas inteiras,sem as mastigar.
(Preposições=sem=Infinitivo pessoal)
Depois não se conseguem mover e dormem durante seis meses - o tempo que a digestão demora.
Then, I thought on the adventures of the jungle, I held on a coloured pencil and I did my first drawing….it was (1word)like this.
I showed (Not trabalho)my work to the adults and (Not pedir)asked-to them if they had fear of my drawing.
Então, pensei nas aventuras da selva, peguei num lápis de cor e fiz o meu primeiro desenho….era assim.
Mostrei a minha obra aos adultos e perguntei-lhes se tinham medo do meu desenho.
The big people responded:”How is it that a hat (2verbs)could scare us?”
My drawing was a boa constrictor digesting an elephant.
As pessoas grandes responderam:”Como é que um chapéu nós pode assustar?”

O meu desenho era um jibóia a digerir um elefante.

For the big people
(2verbs-Not poder &entender)they can understand, because the big people need always explanations, I drew the part of inside of the boa constrictor.
My drawing number 2 became (1word) like this.
Para as pessoas grandes conseguirem compreender, porque as pessoas grandes precisam sempre de explicações, desenhei a parte de dentro da jibóia.

The big people said that it was better better
I to forget the boa constrictors and dedicate-me to geography.
As pessoas grandes disseram que era melhor eu esquecer as jibóias e dedicar-me à geografia.
It was like this that, at the six years,
they forced/obliged me giving up of a great career of painter.
The repeated failures of my drawings
demotivated-me.
Foi assim que, aos seis anos, me obrigaram a desistir de uma grande carreira de pintor.
Os repetidos insucessos dos meus desenhos desmotivaram-me.
The adults (Not entender, perceber)never understand nothing and a child gets tired-himself of being always explaining-to them everything.
Therefore, I had to choose other profession: I decided to be aviator.
Os adultos nunca compreendem nada e uma criança cansa-se de estar sempre a explicar-lhes tudo.
Portanto, tive de escolher outra profissão: decidi ser aviador.
Already I flew through almost all the world. And clearly that the geography helped me a lot.
It is very useful,

Já voei por quase todo o mundo. E claro que a geografia me ajudou muito.

Of course that, during the life, I had many contacts with important people.
I lived a lot time in the world of the big people.
Claro que, durante a vida, tive muitos contactos com pessoas importantes.
Vivi muito tempo no mundo das pessoas grandes.
I saw them of close.
My opinion about them (1verb)had not got better much.
Vi-as de perto.
A minha opinião sobre elas não melhorou muito.
It was this way that I lived, always alone, without having nobody with whom to speak, but to speak seriously, until at the day in which, it was six years,I had a breakdown in the Sahara.
Foi assim que vivi, sempre sozinho, sem ter ninguém com quem falar, mas falar a sério, até ao dia em que, há seis anos, tive uma avaria no Saara.
