SERMs
Used to treat postmenopausal osteoporosis and breast cancer. Selective estrogen receptor modulators have estrogen-like effects on bone (increase in bone density) and on lipid metabolism (decrease in cholesterol levels). However, they lack estrogenic effects on uterus and breast tissue.
