उष्णीषिन् adj. uṣṇīṣin उष्णीषिन् a. [उष्णीष-इनि] Wearing a diadem; नम- उष्णीषिणे गिरिचराय Vāj.16.22. K.229. -m. 1 N. of Śiva. -2 A type of round building.

उष्णीष m. uṣṇīṣaḥ उष्णीषः षम् [उष्णमीषते हिनस्ति ईष् क Tv.] 1 Anything wound round the head. रक्तोष्णीषधराः स्त्रियः Rām. 6.8.6. उष्णीषबन्धस्थाने ललाटोपरि पट्टबन्धरेखा. -2 Hence, a turban, diadem, crownet; बलाकापाण्डुरोष्णीषम् Mk.5.19. हेमासने कृतोष्णीषमभिषिच्य नृपं व्यधात् Bm.1.678. उष्णीषेणैव शुचिना व्यभादुत्तंसधारिणा Śiva. वेत्र  m.  vetraḥ	वेत्रः त्रम् [अज्-त्रल् वीभावः Uṇ.4.166] 1 The cane, ratan; सकष्टकान् कीचकवेणुवेत्रवम् Bhāg.8.2.2; the bamboo; Ki.15.18. -2 A stick, staff, particularly the staff of a doorkeeper; वामप्रकोष्ठार्पितहेमवेत्रः Ku.3.41. -3 N. of the demon वृत्र; L. D. == ‘Having decided in his mind to abandon the Illusory Sita and receive back instead the one hidden in the fire’
FROM WAY BACK IN THE FIRST BOOK… THIS IS THE ADHYATMARAMAYANA’S WAY OF GETTING AROUND THE VERY UNPLEASANT EPISODE AT THE END OF THE VALMIKI RAMAYANA WHERE RAMA BECOMES JEALOUS OF SITA, ETC.
