When do rakes start in the Screen House?
Rakes start at 0700, 1500, 2300 or when DP reaches 4”.
When do screens start in the Screen House?
Screens start at 1100, 1900, 0300 or when pumps run with screens.
What triggers the lead pump (SW-P-1A/B) to start?
The lead pump starts first out of PTL and load sheds on ES with 27/86.
What happens when strainers start in the Screen House?
Strainers start on pump start with backwash at 9# and a 10# high DP alarm.

It gives an alarm and indicates elevated debris.

Operability is based on DP < 6”.
What are the functions of vacuum breakers in the Screen House?
Vacuum breakers prevent high starting current, seal damage, siphon effect (flow reversal) on pump trip, and water hammer on pump start.
What is the backup for River Water Lube Pumps (WT-P-33A/B)?
Domestic Water is the backup.
What is the minimum flow required for River Water Lube Pumps (WT-P-33A/B) protection?
20 gpm.
What is the purpose of Screen House Fans (AH-E-27A/B)?
Maintain room temperature below 120°F.
When do Screen House Fans (AH-E-27A/B) auto-start?
On ES Block 4.
What is the maximum inlet temperature for de-icing operations?
37°F.
What is the procedure for de-silting operations regarding SWPs?
All three channels may be taken out of service, and DP must be checked every 2 hours.

Flooding occurs at 284.2’; Tech Spec shutdown is required at >302’.
What actions are required if the river level drops below 277’?
Initiate shutdown per 3.0.1; Trip Rx and RCPs at <274’; go to CSD in 36 hours if river temperature is ≥95°F.
What happens to river pumps in the event of a total loss of the York Haven Dam?
All river pumps retain suction.
Can all river pumps be secured during de-silting operations?
Yes, all river pumps can be secured.
What is the source of de-icing water at 33°F river temperature and 21°F air temperature?
De-icing water comes from Nuke River (NR).
What happens if fire destroys the 1R/1T 480V Bus?
AOP-005 is entered, Rx is tripped, RCPs are tripped, and emergency boration is commenced.
