SECONDARY COOLING SYSTEM Flashcards
What happens if SR-P-1B and SR-P-1C are both operating and an ES signal occurs?
SR-P-1C trips, and SR-P-1A will auto start.
Can the Nuke River supply the Secondary River?
Yes, but only when the reactor is shutdown.
Can the Secondary River supply the Nuke River?
Yes, but Tech Spec 3.0.1 applies.
What happens to all SRPs during an ES signal?
All SRPs trip and lockout (27/86).
What is the normal position of SR-V-1A/B/C valves?
They are normally maintained OPEN at all times for pump starts.
What buses supply power to SC-P-1A/B/C?
1C, 1J, and 1N buses.
What is the operational requirement for coolers versus pumps in Secondary Cooling?
There must always be one more cooler than pump in service (pumps 50%, coolers 33%).
What is required for 3/4 Secondary Cooling operations?
Shift Manager approval.
What provides backup cooling to IA-P-1A/B when all 52 breaker contacts are open?
Fire Service (FS).
What does SC-V-23 maintain across SSCCW?
A differential pressure of 25#.
What systems are associated with SC-V-24, 25, 26, and 143?
Hydrogen (Auto), Turbine Lube Oil (failed OPEN), EHC (normally CLOSED), and Service Building Chiller.
