Precursor to melanoma

Atypical nevus
- DEPTH of invasion --> mets

Most common skin cancer, pallisading cells, pearly pink papule with telangiectasias, upper lip, little risk for mets

- HSV > mycoplasma
- drug reactions
+ fever and mucosal = SJS
+ sloughing = TEN

Blisters on dorsal hands, hypertrichosis, hyperpgimentation, elevated serum and urine porphyrin, no abdominal pain

Porphyria cutanea tarda
- HCV, HIV, INC IRON, estrogen
- deficiency in uroporphyrinogen decarboxylase

- Tx = selenium sulfide or hydrocortizone

- metronidazole gel
